Cal/OSHA - Safety
With all the new and changing guidelines with COVID-19, G. B. Construction, Inc. is staying on top of the reporting requirement in the event of a possible Covid-19 exposure or positive case. We’ve incorporated the Covid-19 Prevention Plan into our Injury and Illness Handbook and on January 21 & January 27, several GB employees participated in State Fund’s Webinar - A Guide to the New Cal/OSHA Emergency COVID-19 Regulations.
It reminded us of the importance in keeping up with the importance of safety in the workplace. Additionally, all G. B. staff are enrolled in the OSHA 30-Hour Outreach Training for Construction.

AB 685 – Employer Notices of COVID-19 Exposures
AB 685 went into effect on January 1, 2021. With the spikes of positive Covid-19 cases in the greater Los Angeles & Orange Counties, G. B. Construction, Inc. reviewed and updated its protocols in response to Covid-19 and Assembly Bill 685 – Employer Notices of Covid-19 Exposures. We replaced our on-site handheld thermal scanners with wall mounted thermal scanners and created a QR’s by jobsite to electronically log and track every person entering the job site.
