  • A Milestone at Laurel Grove: Pedestrian Bridge Installation Completed !!

On December 6, 2024, G. B. Construction, Inc. successfully completed the installation of the pedestrian bridge at the Laurel Grove project in Whittier, California. Designed and fabricated in Atlanta, Georgia, this bridge traveled across the country to become the central feature of a public park that will soon serve the Laurel Grove community. This bridge is not merely a structure—it is a symbol of connection and renewal for the 92 individuals and families who will call Laurel Grove home. The project is dedicated to supporting those in urgent need of housing, and the public park, with the bridge as its centerpiece, will be a vital gathering space for residents to come together, relax, and rebuild their lives. The installation process required meticulous planning and precise execution. Our team coordinated across multiple states to ensure the bridge’s safe transportation and seamless assembly on-site. The result is a lasting structure that reflects both the technical skill and the heartfelt commitment of everyone involved. As the Laurel Grove project nears completion, we are reminded of the profound impact that well-designed housing and community spaces can have on people’s lives. This achievement exemplifies G. B. Construction, Inc.’s dedication to building communities, not just structures. We look forward to the grand opening of Laurel Grove next year and the positive change it will bring to its residents. Stay tuned for more updates as we approach this exciting milestone. #GBConstruction , #Holoscommnities , #affordablehousing , #homeleseness , #bridge https://lnkd.in/ge6bxsZQ

  • Drone Update: Laurel Grove Homekey Project in Whittier, CA - August 2024

Exciting progress happening at our Laurel Grove Homekey project! Here’s a quick glimpse of where we are:   New Roof & HVAC: All roofing and HVAC vents are now fully installed, making way for the final phases of construction inside the units. We're on track to have them ready for completion by December 2024.   Pedestrian Bridge Work: Team GB is currently hard at work on the foundation for 60-foot-long pedestrian bridge. This is a delicate and precise task, as the bridge anchor plate must fit within just ½ inch of variance—a true test of craftsmanship and accuracy.   We are proud of the progress and the hard work our team is putting in to make this project a success! Stay tuned for more updates as we move closer to completion.  #ConstructionUpdate #HomekeyProject #WhittierCA #LaurelGrove #AffordableHousing #GBConstruction #PrecisionWork #HolosCommunities   https://lnkd.in/gAZRp2c8
